About Us
Public Association “Association of Mediators and Lawyers ‘Parasat’” (PA “AML ‘Parasat’”) is a self-regulating, non-profit organization established to promote and develop the institution of mediation in Kazakhstan.
The Association unites professional mediators and lawyers committed to peaceful conflict resolution and the strengthening of the legal foundations of society. We operate in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Mediation” and promote the implementation of alternative dispute resolution methods across various areas of life.

One of the main objectives of the Association is to protect the rights of mediators, ensure quality control of mediation services, and enhance professional training. We maintain a registry of professional mediators, organize their certification, training, and attestation. The Association also provides legal and psychological assistance to citizens and conducts educational and scientific events.

We actively participate in the development of mediation standards, methodological materials, and training programs. An important aspect of our work is fostering international cooperation and the exchange of experience with foreign mediation organizations. We advocate for the humanization of society, the development of legal culture, and the strengthening of interethnic and interfaith relations.

“Parasat” is a platform for professional growth, public dialogue, and peaceful conflict resolution.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is mediation?
Mediation is an alternative method of dispute resolution with the help of a neutral intermediary (mediator). The mediator helps the parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement without going to court.
  • Who can become a mediator?
Anyone over 25 years old with higher education who has completed specialized training and received a mediator’s certificate can become a mediator. Experience in law, psychology, or management is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Why should I study mediation?
Mediation training helps you develop professional negotiation, conflict management, and decision-making skills. After completing the course, you can officially conduct mediation sessions or apply these skills in professions such as law, HR, psychology, or management.
  • Do participants receive a certificate after training?
Yes. Upon completion, participants receive an official certificate confirming their qualification as a mediator. This certificate is recognized in Kazakhstan and allows inclusion in the mediator registry and professional mediation practice.
  • Are the trainings held online or offline?
    We offer two training formats:
    Offline — in major cities of Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty, etc.);
Online — via the Zoom platform.
  • What training programs are offered? How long does the training last?
The General Mediation Course consists of 50 academic hours and complies with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Mediation.” The course program meets the official standards for professional mediator training. We also offer a 50-hour specialized mediation course for professional mediators.

Additionally, we conduct training programs in various mediation areas — family, banking, commercial disputes, labor conflict resolution, and others. Each program is tailored to its specific field and the relevant legal requirements.

We also provide specialized courses for conciliation commissions in accordance with the Labor Code of Kazakhstan, incorporating mediation tools for effective dispute resolution.
  • How much does the training cost?
The cost depends on the program format and level. Exact prices and promotions are listed in the “Trainings” section or on each specific course page.
  • Can I complete the course online and receive a certificate?
Yes. Online training is fully equivalent to in-person learning. After completing the online course and passing the final test, you will receive an official mediator certificate.
  • Do I need prior professional experience (e.g., in law or HR) to join the General Mediation Course?
No, the course is suitable for both beginners and experienced professionals. We start with the basics and gradually move to practical case studies. Previous experience can be helpful but is not required.
